The Dickens' Days Night Parade is Port Stanley's Christmas parade, sponsored by the Port Stanley Lions and Lioness Clubs, and what a magical experience it is. There is an extra glow of lights with a night parade, and a warm community feel with families lining the streets. The route runs throught the village starting behind Foodland on Frances Street, along Stanley to Colborne, across the lift bridge and down William to Mackies, where the children (and adults) can enjoy cookies and a visit with Santa. Canned goods for the local food bank are collected along the route by the Port Stanley Sailors Junior Hockey Team. Many businesses are open late on the evening and restaurants have special menus and events. It is a night of Christmas wonder.
